UPVC Replacement Door Handles

The handles on your doors are worn out over time and will need to be replaced. In this case, it is important that the new handles conform to the dimensions of the previous handle.

The handle can be positioned and angled to suit all users. The handle has been tested for endurance up to 200,000 cycles. This is especially useful in doors with smaller door frames where the cylinder is located further back. Lever Pad

A Lever Pad door handle made of upvc chrome door handles functions differently from lever-type handles on doors. The handle can use a single spindle (inline) or independently from each side by using two offset spindles or inline (pad). They are generally used on UPVC double glazing windows handles glazed doors. Euro Cylinder

Cylinder locks are found on uPVC and other types of doors. The cylinder lock is operated by using a key that unlocks the cylinder's case. The case is then able to reveal pins that can be aligned with those in the lock, and permit them to rotate the revolving camera, thereby opening the door. Euro Cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins, with external and internal doors typically having different levels of security.

The choice of the correct cylinder is vitally important; this is contingent on the way your doors and handles are used. Doors that are external, for instance are required to be fitted with cylinders that are more secure while internal doors can be secured with a standard cylinder. Additionally, certain cylinders have extra features that can improve security further, such as anti-drill or anti-bump features.

A euro cylinder should be measured correctly to ensure it's the correct size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the screw hole in the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, should there be one. If you are unable to measure using the lock in a fixed position, you can take it out of it. A cylinder that is protruding beyond the handle and escutcheon may be vulnerable to attacks such as lock snapping, so it is crucial that it's not too long.

Most newer cylinders have been designed with bump and anti-drill features built into their design. These features are designed to minimize the risk of attack by forcing the cylinder rotate in a different direction. This will help to stop the attack and protect your doors.

Certain cylinders are made to resist snapping. This is a growing method of attack on cylinders, where the break line in the lock is attacked using a special tool to snap off the front of the cylinder to allow the door to be opened. This is faster and more straightforward than gaining access through multipoint locks. It also leaves no evidence of a burglary, which can hinder the insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

This spring cassette sits inside the base of the door handle backplate, providing a spring solution and returning the multipoint lock handles back to their original position after using. The handles had no spring, and would slide when the locking mechanism was disconnected. Adding this simple component is among the best ways to correct this, and is an effective way to keep your doors made of upvc from becoming stuck in an open or closed position, as they are not always easy to manually close by hand.

These spring cassettes were created to be used with a spring multipoint lock.
