If you're on a tight budget and don't need a stroller that can double up as car seat carriers, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop comfortable.

It's simple to push, and it feels solid when you are walking along woodland paths and kerbs. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the ultimate lightweight single seater buggy for sale for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, due to its extremely nimble handling and fold-down that fits into the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. The latest version has independent suspension on all four wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to effortlessly traverse all terrains and types'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a chic pushchair with a subtle elegant design. The frame itself weighs just over a kilogram and is so light you can easily lift it from the box (and do it with one hand).

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 with a reassuring manner. It's also machine washable at 30 degrees which helps avoid staining caused by smushed and mashed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It can also be transformed into a stroller at 6 months using the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents looking for an adaptable stroller. It can be converted from a stroller into a wagon just by flipping the handle, meaning parents can select the mode they prefer for their journey. The wagon can fit two or three children ranging from 6 months to five years old. It has a large storage basket that can hold everything you need while on the go.

The Xplore also has two canopies that turn from the front to the back, offering ample sun coverage for all family members. It also has a footwell that is not as large or deep as some wagons, so it might not be comfortable for long excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore feels sturdy and solid however it doesn't have as much flex as some of the other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competitors and it doesn't lock tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and size folded which means it's light, compact when folded and easy to move into a trunk of a car or closet. It also features a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels, as well as two large hanging storage bags.

It did better in our push and turn test than most of the strollers we tested, but was still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has were among the tiniest of strollers we test. They only cover the top of the stroller and don't have windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together with an average manual and all of the components required tools. However, it is missing some critical features we believe it is important to consider as non-negotiable features in a double stroller, such as an extra-large basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's newest cheap single pushchair, and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate infants from birth until approximately 3.5 years old, easily changing into a seat and carrycot with only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It includes a light Mico 30 infant seat, a car-base that stays in the car and reversible carriage.

The seat can be reclined with one hand and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to get their child in and out. The narrow pushchair sailed through everyday bumps and doorways easily.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position, or they can pivot. This is helpful when navigating rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate on our walk along a stony path. It was able to handle this well, although it seemed slightly more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain jogging strollers. However, they also produce a wide variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is easy to use and folds down small enough to fit in the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It's a bit heavier than the other strollers we tried, but the wheels are rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It is easy to maneuver across various terrains and even with two kids, a shopping bag and other things.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that are able to be lower to reveal a UV50and sun canopy extension. They are water-resistant and durable unlike other pram hoods that are bounced back into toddlers faces.

It does not have much storage space but it has an ample basket that is deep enough to hold a change bag or a large amount of groceries. It can also be used with a Baby Jogger car seat for infants that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be used on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene, it stole the hearts of parents everywhere. It's a frame made of aluminum that will be with you throughout your baby's early days and beyond. It's got a few distinctive features like the possibility of flipping the seat between parent and the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy that has a flip out eyeshade and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are durable and filled with foam, which reduces the risk of punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension that takes the sting out of rough terrain. It was easy to push and our tester was able to maneuver the vehicle through narrow streets.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It can also be folded and repositioned for easy transport down the stairs or in the trunk of the car. The travel system comes offered with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors included. The brakes are easy to use using a single stroller with bench seat action color coded and flip-flop friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is simple to use and has a great dual suspension. It folds with one hand and comes with a convenient carrying strap. It's also extremely light and sturdy. The seat is reclined in several positions. It is equipped with a double breathable mattress that's suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors, both of which are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't great - it's not as silent as Velcro and could wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be set up to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg max per seat). It can be used with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can be positioned to face each other or rotate around to face parents, theoretically decreasing sibling fights over who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a large gear tray, bottle holder as well as snack trays and a change mat. It also comes with a folding stand that folds down and a frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger designed for parents who like to stay active. It's one of the lightest strollers you can purchase for your child. The seat is well-padded and has plenty of room to sit, but the depth of the seat is less than other joggers that we've tested (it's approximately 10"). The storage bin is encased with a zipper that keeps things safe. It can hold up to 10 pounds., which is sufficient for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters to fit most bassinets and infant car seats however, you can use them from the very first day with adapters that will fit brands like BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes 5-10 minutes to assemble without tools. The manual is simple to understand and includes multiple languages.
