About Toto

Toto was formed in the year 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro, 토지노 커뮤니티 David Paich (who at the time were also well-known studio musicians working with Boz Scaggs) and singer/bassist Bobby Kimball. The name of the group came from the Latin word that means "all-encompassing" and was determined to explore every musical style.

After a break of couple of years, Toto return with the album Fahrenheit in the year 1986. The album is an departure from the ballads on previous albums, and features some heavy rock. This was their first platinum album in North America.

In the course of recording the fifth album the group loses their manager and is faced with financial problems. They decide to record a new album and change their name with an entirely different producer. However, Toto reunited in 2010 to perform a benefit for the ALS Foundation. This was the first time that all original Toto members appeared on stage together in over 31 years. In addition to the original members keyboardist Greg Tambu filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate filled in for Shem Von Schroeck.

In 2008, Toto decided to take a break from touring after a string lineup changes and a disappointing series of releases. The album was a return to the band's top form, and the tour that accompanied it featured sold-out concerts in North America and Europe. The reunion of Toto gained momentum with the return of bassist Shem Von Schroeck and guitarist Steve Lukather.
