MadeForMums test-tested the Cybex Avi Spin for us and we had the chance to take it out with one of Australia's most accomplished middle-distance runners Genevieve Gregson who recently became a mother. We asked Genevieve Gregson what she thought about the pram and if it could be improved.

The Avi Spin is an all-terrain buggy stroller that provides the versatility that modern families require from the moment they are born. The front swivel can't be beat for its manoeuvrability around city corners and the air-filled tires provide comfortable cushioning while strolling through the city or on nature walks. The swivel can be locked to provide additional stability in rough terrain or while running. The fully reclining seat is designed to provide a comfortable lie-flat position that is suitable for babies from birth. The one-pull harness simplifies access to in and out while the compact fold makes it easy to store and transport. The wheels are also removed for a smaller fold! It's a pity the brake lever is on the right-hand side of the handlebar since this makes it difficult to operate with a single hand.

With the Out N About Nipper V5 you can take your child for exciting off terrain stroller-road walks and jogging in total peace and comfort. Its lightweight frame, rear suspension and tyres that are air-filled ensure the most comfortable ride on all types of terrain, including city streets and scenic countryside routes. The Nipper Double is towards the top end of the price scale for side-by-side prams, however it feels sturdy and top-quality and is suitable for use from the age of newborn to four years old. The absence of parent-facing seating options, and the fact that it is not compatible with car seats do put it in a more costly bracket than some other models, however the excellent maneuverability and ability to deal with all terrains, makes it a solid option.

The user manual is very clear and easy to read. The only criticisms are that the hoods can be noisy and clunky, and that the Velcro used to close them can cause your baby to wake up. This is a problem especially if you're walking through a park at night and you don't want other parents be disturbed. The absence of a storage compartment under the seats was mentioned as a disadvantage.

It's not cheap, and you may struggle to find a cheaper deal if you want to use it from birth. It's also quite heavy so you might need to get the assistance of a friend or family member when it comes to lifting the seat into your car. Another thing to note is that there are a few small honeycomb-type exposed areas at the lower part of the seat where the vomit and spilled smoothies could migrate - you'll have to be cautious when your child is prone to illness.
