It was capable of handling long hair with minimal tangles, and it did not lose suction. However, the brushes did tend to clog, especially near the nozzles, so be sure to check them regularly. The app also alerted me when the brushroll was brimming with tangles which is a great reminder.

The Samsung Jet Bot+ will be a wonderful addition to any family that is looking for a more convenient method of keeping the home clean. It's more expensive than other robot vacuums but it has a range of features that are worth the extra cost.

Neato Botvac D7

The Neato Botvac D7 is one of the strongest robot vacuums on the market. It is a great performer on bare floors, carpets with high pile, and pet hair. Its mobility and ease of maintenance are top-of-the-line, but it's not equipped to mop, which makes it less suited to hard surfaces than some of its competitors. It also has a relatively high price tag and recurring costs.

This model, as with the others in the Neato Botvac family, has a distinctive "D-shaped" design that gives it the ability to get rid of walls and into corners more effectively than competitors with round shapes. Its turret houses the Botvision sensors that scan and map your home for superior navigation.

Setting up the D7 is straightforward: you connect to Wi-Fi and then download the Neato app, and follow the onscreen instructions to connect the vacuum to your home's wireless router. Once connected the app allows you to create a cleaning routine and select from a variety of modes. The bots include House, Spot and Manual.

Once fully charged, D7 begins to learn your floorplan, by creating the digital layout of your space. When the map is completed it will begin to clean. This process can take up to an hour, but it can be cut down if you select Eco mode.

The D7's indicator for battery will turn yellow when it is close to being depleted. It will turn green when fully charged. The D7 has a larger battery than the D8. It can run up to two hours in the maximum "Turbo mode".

The D7 is excellent in cleaning floors that are not clean however, it can become stuck on furniture feet or legs and isn't able to easily move up and down stairs. In these situations, it'll send a notification to the app so you can help it out.

Dyson Ball Multi Floor Cleaner

The Multi-Floor Cleaner is an upright vacuum cleaner that utilizes Radial Root Cyclone technology to maximize suction. The brush bar was designed to feature shorter, more rigid bristles that are able to penetrate carpet fibers and collect dirt more effectively without harming the carpet. It also has an updated floorhead that automatically adjusts between hard floors and carpets which seals suction. Its wand and hose release in one seamless action making it easy to move up or under furniture. It also has a complete-machine HEPA filtering, which means bacteria and allergens are absorbed inside the machine, instead of being emitted back into your home.

Anyone with allergies or asthma will find the Multi Floor an ideal choice. Its suction is powerful and lets it pick up dirt and debris on your flooring. This includes numerous tiny particles that are normally scattered in the air. It is ideal for low-pile and high pile carpet. It comes with a long cord, which makes it easy to move around your home.

It's a bit heavier than other vacuums we've tested, but it's still pretty mobile and easy to move from room to room. It also comes with a dust bin that is bagless and can be emptyed with a simple push of an on. The bin can hold 0.6 cubic feet and is translucent so you can see when it's filled.

It wasn't as well on bare floors as the Hoover WindTunnel 2 Whole House Rewind, but it was great at cleaning up the kitty litter and rice that accumulated on a carpeted floor.
