The battery life is a bit longer than that of the AI Ultra, and its overall performance in the field of debris pickup was excellent across a range of surface types.

The only downsides to the Matrix is that it drains its battery more quickly than other models, and its cleaning capabilities for pet hair are somewhat inconsistent. However, it's an excellent choice for the majority of homes and the Matrix is superior to the AI Ultra in several key ways. It feels considerably better built it recharges quicker, and offers superior debris removal on low-pile carpeting. Plus, the 'Eco-' and Max modes provide a substantial improvement over the AI Ultra's "Normal" mode.
