The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the click of one button. You can select an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice, or opt for two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best vacuum robot and mop time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has a superior filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping feature is even better. Its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's a small price to pay if you want to get one of the best mapping robot vacuum robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors and filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub off hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones produce minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it before moving on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden from view, as well as washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo treats your abode. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's items that need to be cleaned out regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my tests cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first go. It can even remove wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best roborock vacuum and mop known for Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the best budget robot mop robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads remove tough stains and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features you aren't likely to find on robots in this price range. It can make precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are great however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving through the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The control panel is the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the app's settings menu where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. The mops are also efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the floor or Quaker oats on carpet.
