In our testing the robot encountered a few problems when it came to mapping its home. It would sometimes skip rooms or repeat the same areas. This was especially problematic on dark floors. It was able, eventually to complete the map. The app also let us to create scheduling, no-mop areas, and other settings. Its LIDAR helped it navigate the house and avoid obstacles with precision. This was much better than the navigation system in the less expensive shark vacuum mop robot ION Robot RV700 series, which is unintuitive and does not support no-go zones. The app is simple to use and provides an array of intelligent cleaning options, including eco-friendly Eco mode as well as an extremely powerful Max mode. The recurring costs can quickly mount up with extra mopping pad, maintenance and replacement filters.
